Movie Review: Crazy Rich Asians How many romances actually make it to the altar? I chose to watch Crazy Rich Asians (2018) simply because I wanted something fun, but I was pleasantly surprised by the profound message it carried. While I picked it for its glitzy, romantic aesthetic, the film offers a deep look into the maturity required to sustain love and the immense hurdles one must overcome before marriage. Please keep in mind that this is a review from the perspective of someone who hasn’t been married yet! The story follows Rachel, a New Yorker who travels to Singapore with her boyfriend, Nick, to attend his best friend’s wedding.
